For the last few years, we have watched helplessly as a few leeches suck up America's resources for themselves. Moving this country perilously toward Czarist Russia.
"Why the hell isn't somebody doing something?" we ask.
Like the Wizard says, we've held the power all along. And you don't even have to camp out in a park. It's as simple as tapping your emerald slippers, Dorothy.
The first step to putting an end to executive piracy - knowledge. Publicly list company rosters and executive salaries. Find out who the overpaid are. Give these executives lots of publicity. Make their names household words. Publicize their home addresses.
Next, take a hint from Krugman, who points out:
"One recent analysis found that 43 percent of the super-elite are executives at nonfinancial companies, 18 percent are in finance and another 12 percent are lawyers or in real estate."
If 43 percent of these companies are non-financial, at least a few must be easy to boycott. And the associates and enabling companies can also be boycotted.
This will take diligence. But with 99.9% of America refusing to deal with your company, you won't be around very long.
Our demands will be simple. No executive anywhere should be making more than 10x the average employee salary of that company.
And the company should make public, all political contributions.
And companies that comply will be rewarded with business from 99.9% of America.
It's time to STOP BEING A FATCAT ENABLER. and resolve this problem ourselves.
