For everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under the sun.
Turn, turn, turn
(with apologies to Ecclesiastes)
To everything there is a season
a time for every purpose under the sun.
A time to be born, and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to reap that which has been planted.
A time to be oppressed and a time to live in freedom,
a time to be told lies, and a time to speak the truth.
A time to be gainfully employed, and a time to be jobless,
a time to own a home and a time for a fraudulent bank repossession.
A time to occupy, and a time to be evicted by police,
a time to laugh and a time to cry from pepper-spray.
A time to seek office, and a time to spend more time with the family,
a time to debate talking points, and a time hear the voice of the people.
A time to love thy neighbor as thyself and a time to lobby for a capital gains tax reduction for the wealthy job creators.
A time for a war on terrorism, then a time to continue the war on terrorism, then some more time for the war on terrorism.
