Politifact today posted a claim that "Daily Kos...Says Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is making voting more difficult by closing Department of Motor Vehicles offices where 'low-income voters' live."
I cannot find one article/diary posted on Daily Kos that is mistaken on this topic. FACT: Scott Walker did plan to close Department of Motor Vehicles offices which would have resulted in making voting more difficult for many low-income voters.
Secondly, Politifact is reporting on a claim made only by Daily Kos campaign director, Chris Bowers! The statement in question is part of a larger message about disenfranchising voters including very true and verifiable claims that a worker was FIRED for informing co-workers that photo IDs required for voting are free under Wisconsin law. Why didn't Politifact rate this claim along with the many other 100% true statements posited by Bowers? Video below.
I would like to know why Politifact has not rated any of Bowers' other claims from this interview such as... individuals destroying WI recall petitions, the misleading anti-Occupy Wisconsin site falsely claiming all WI recall signatures had been gathered, workers fired for informing co-workers that photo IDs required for voting are free under Wisconsin law?
It seems to me that Politifact has been increasingly skewing its reports, which results in presenting anything but the facts. PANTS ON FIRE, big time!
