Here's a funny little holiday ditty in honor of all those college students either home for their break or are on their way home for their break. Yea, my Mom did this for me, too! :D
It's time for SPARK. :D It's not very often to hear of churches with an actual sense of humor, so I like this story a lot!
It's a good thing this little guy or gal didn't make it's way to Alaska; $aint $arah from Wasilla would've clubbed it or something! Or, the former "first dude" would've hit it with a snowmobile.
Finally, I've long established myself as the cynical/see the world as a glass half empty kind of gal; however, this story helps restore a teeny tiny bit of faith in humanity. :D
Let's Countdown!
#5 "Election Daze" AKA "GOP Split" AKA "Dueling Endorsements" - Wow...so much to say so soon! :D First, that whole cheese eatin' surrender monkey language coming out of Mittens' pie hole just might scuttle things for him. You don't see Governor Secession getting all Frenchified, do you?! Hell, his knowledge of "French" is probably French fries, and that's about it. Second in the "Uh - Oh!" column for Mittens is getting the nod from Christine "Not a Witch & No Relation to Lawrence" O'Donnell; if Mittens does have witch tendencies in his background, he better watch the spark out! :D And, how 'bout that quote from Ms. Not a Witch concerning why she's endorsing him?! "He's been consistent since he changed his mind." How nice to know that some things truly never do change. :) There are Occupy protestors in Iowa City? AND, they heckled Newtie?! HA! Uh, if Mittens can throw around $10K bets, why does he need fundraisers in the city so nice they named it twice? The cat fight between Newt & Mittens goes on. ;D Newt wanted to bring back dinosaurs? Me thinks he missed some of that movie. Ah! Protestors were at University of Iowa - OK not so shocked now. ;D Newt's poll numbers are beginning to slip in a few places. Governor Secession's folksyness is due to his back surgery? Huh! My Dad had 2 back surgeries, and he was way less folksy than Governor Secession's been of late. :D John Rocker's crawled out from whatever rock he's been hiding under to endorse Newt - so has Gopher from the Love Boat, and he's looked better. HOWEVER, Newt did lose 1 endorsement from a fellow brain addled white guy when Gary Busey just said no. Tim Dickinson gets to post mortem all this fun. :) Full Constitutional rights should be granted to zygotes, according to Newt. Do they get Tiffany's accounts, too? Newt wants to go to the moon, too. Where's Ralph Cramden when you need him?! :) There's another MENSA meeting in Sioux City, IA tomorrow night, and I will of course be missing it. CoulterGeist would vote for Jeffrey Dahmer over President Obama. Well, of course she would! Craig Crawford gets some port mortem duty, too. He just loved Ms. Not a Witch's endorsement, too! Gopher made some not - so - nice remarks about the Islamic faith? Well, I guess he was a trend - setter in the most sick sense of the phrase. The DNC also just lurved Ms. Not a Witch's endorsement today, too. :)
#4 "A Lowe's Blow" AKA "All American Response" - Lowe's has been having a few no good very bad days of late. Today, they GOT IT on the floor of the House of Representatives! Rep. Chris Murphy was the main author of a letter to the company & the author of the aforementioned GETTING IT on the House floor. The head of the Florida Family Association used to be a porn addict who healed himself; no, I don't wanna know how he healed himself!!!! *&^%$#@! Rep. Murphy's talking to Keith after his stellar performance today. Man, Hubby & I have to figure out a way to ditch our Lowe's account. Compromising national security was part of that letter that was sent? Golly!
"Time Marches On!" - Keith got into my diary drafts AGAIN! :) A kitty helped a Russian woman with her yoga. Hell, that's nothing new; I frequently have kitty company during my workouts! :D A bunch of little hockey players decided to have their fight before the game even started? A CO anchor tried to congratulate a fellow "Hooter" on the recent IU victory over Kentucky. :D
#3 "Indefinite Detention" AKA "Indefinite Detention Definite?" - President Obama today announced that he would not veto that horrid defense authorization act that contains language basically dispensing habeus corpus to the land of Crystal Pepsi. Lovely. Again, sometimes it truly sucks donkey droppings to be correct. Rep. Jerrold Nadler is NOT happy, and he took to the floor of the House to indicate as such. A bunch of other groups aren't happy, either. Anyone who values civil liberties shouldn't be happy, either. Rep. Nadler gets the lovely task of talking about this abomination. It turns out that President Obama only threatened to veto this bill because he thought it was going to curtail HIS power in the "war on terror." Once his "fears" were placated, all was well. Son of a *&^%$#@! SERIOUSLY?! I wonder if there's still a part of President Obama, Senator Levin, and other Dems that are still afraid of being portrayed as "soft on terror"? I mean...really? President Obama got OBL! President Obama & the DOJ have done quite well in prosecuting & catching terrorists! Why, damn it?! Rep. Nadler wants we, the people to express our displeasure to President Obama & Congressional leadership. Yea, that'll work. *&^%$#@!
WPITW - An Australian politico is the FCC of Australia, and his speech was peppered with some "colorful" language. :) Jabba the Ailes might be retiring? NO!!! Today, FAUX News swapped President Obama's photo where Mittens should've been. Again, it's only news when FAUX News gets something correct! A birther spent a hell of a lot of coin on 1 of those airplane ads over Cowboys' stadium hours before a night game with the roof closed - BRILLIANT!
#1 "Otherwise Occupied" - Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich made a hell of a web ad for President Obama! President Obama is currently polling even or slightly behind both Newt & Mittens in several swing states? O...K... Secretary Reich showed off his art - teest skills, too! :) He wants Glass - Steagel reinstated. Good luck with that with this Congress! Investment in schools & infrastructure is a must, too, in the video ad. Keith touched on the previous segment in asking Secretary Reich if the economy would be THE big issue in this election enough to downplay what President Obama's apparently prepared to do with civil liberties. Uh, so how exactly did he answer that question?
