I am just boosting the signal on this, so if anyone in or near Claverack wants a kitty for Christmas, please let me know and I'll pass the word along to my friends Geoff and Nan. These good hearted people found a kitty and cannot take him due to possible FIP exposure in their house, and he needs a home ASAP. Here's what Nan posted on her Facebook page:
Urgent - a neighbor found the sweetest 6 month old male kitty. Due to a contagious and deadly virus at our home (courtesy of foster kittens from another shelter) we cannot bring this cat home without a serious risk to him. We cannot find any shelters with openings and no other foster homes...The cat needs a home ASAP...He's a white and gray tabby and a big love bug.
If anyone in or near Claverack/Philmont/Hudson/Albany can help, please message me and I'll pass the word along. Evidently they've tried all the area shelters and there's no room....
7:38 PM PT: Here is his picture. He's going to the vet tomorrow for shots, virus test, and a much needed bath. According to Nan, he's desperate for attention and clearly was raised in a home before either getting lost or being dumped.
Thanks so much for listening!
