I've been sitting here for at least a week, probably more. I'm unsure of what I would like to debate with everyone at Kos next. It's not that I'm unsure of my positions or any such. The problem is in the site itself.
Don't get me wrong. This website is pretty damned exquisite. I gave it praise in my introduction post, as a matter of fact. I think it's leaps and bounds beyond anything us on the right have as far as community interaction with each other. So this place, though I disagree with what the goal of it is, has my utmost respect.
No, my problem is, I'm not quite sure what stereotypes, fairly or unfairly, are held against us conservatives. For example, off the top of my head I know that most people on the liberal end think that the right has a war on women. I wonder if there are any other stereotypes that are considered hard-stance against us that I could possibly refute.
Basically, I'd like to play defense in this round of debate. Last time, I brought my views forward, people rebutted those views, I posted one more diary on the subject, and that was it. I'd like to reverse it a bit. In the comments, I would like to see this:
1.) Stereotypes of conservatives that you think are TRUE (please don't troll about this. I honestly want to know what people think).
That one thing is it. I will take the comments and try to post a blog about it in rebuttal (if the turnout is too much, it may take more than one post). After the post I make, your comments to that post will be the rebuttal, without any response from me whatever. I guess this is just kind of an experiment. Role reversal without the roles being, erm... reversed haha
So, let folks know about this so I can try and feel where you guys are coming from. Thanks much!
