I have heard multiple Democratic officials and pundits increasingly respond to Republicans who say businesses have to fire people to be successful with nods and statements of agreement.
Please, do not do that.
Companies can indeed save money by firing people...but that is in many cases when the company is in distress or having earnings issues. Yes, in some cases productivity gains mean less workers are required, but even then those productivity gains are not being shared with works. So, I don't want any Democrat to allow Republicans to get away with this throw away line.
