LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Whitney Houston, who reigned as pop music's queen until her majestic voice and regal image were ravaged by drug use, erratic behavior and a tumultuous marriage to singer Bobby Brown, has died. She was 48.
There's been a lot of confusion over this due to the fact that people on Twitter keep killing off celebrities with fake death rumors, but it's confirmed that she's died. The details surrounding her death are unknown.
The world-renowned singer was known for her extensive career in music, and later for her personal struggles with drugs and legal disputes. Over the last few years, she started getting back into the swing of her career, with the Huffington Post reporting just a few hours ago that she was approached to be a judge on Simon Cowell's X-Factor.

6:32 PM PT: MSNBC reports that the LAPD found Whitney Houston dead around 330PM Pacific Time, and they declared her dead at 355PM. They say there were no obvious signs of drug use or foul play. She was in LA for the Grammy Awards.
