Can you believe this fracktard?
The “president’s agenda” is “not about you,” he said. “It’s not about you. It’s not about your quality of life. It’s not about your job.
“It’s about some phony ideal, some phony theology,” Santorum said to applause from the crowd. “Oh, not a theology based on the Bible, a different theology, but no less a theology.” [...]
A theology (ie. the Study of God), that's
not from the Bible? How's that supposed to work?
What is he talking about here? I mean, I know it's a LIE and bad one at that because the President clearly does care about the people and their jobs - it's Santorum and the GOP that doesn't - but what's he trying to say? Is it an attempted dog whistle - but for whom?
Is he saying "Liberalism" is a phony ideology?
Exactly when has President Obama -whose ramped up the War on Terror, increased the National Security State, killed Bin Laden, allowed Bradley Manning to be tortured and nearly driven insane, implemented the Republican Backed/Heritage Foundation Health Care plan without Single-Payer or a Medicare-based Public Option - been a "Liberal"?
Is he talking about Reverend Wright or something? Is it "Phony" to acknowledge moral and governmental failures of the Tuskeegee Experiment, the Interment Camps and the Trail of Tears - as Wright did - and point out that you can't trust in Government, you have to Trust in God - which is what Wright's sermon was actually about?
Even if that isn't it - Would he say the same thing about Protestants? Methodists? Lutherans? Episcopalians? Anglicans?
Would he say that Jews believe in a "phony ideology" and not expect a steaming email from the ADL? What is his main drain bamage?
Nevermind the fact that Constitutionally he's right out the window with this stuff...
U.S. Constitution Article VI - Paragraph 3
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.
But he says, or rather his "people" say he wasn't talking about religion. Yeah,
right.
In a statement, Santorum’s campaign said the candidate was not actually talking about Obama’s religion but rather his belief in secularism, adding, “The President says he’s a Christian and Rick believes that and has even said so publicly many times.”
Note the oh-so-subtle, "Obama's said he's a Christian" -- so I take him at his word, wink-wink-nudge-nudge. Yeah, buddy.
So he wasn't saying Obama's not a Christian - not that he should have to be - but that he "believes in secularism" and that shouldn't be allowed because it's "Phony"? Umm... secularism is the lack of a religious ideology - which would be the definition of Not Christian and an oxymoron - so only being religious and of course Santorum's Specific BRAND of Christian is "Real"?
How many ways does this douche-spigot have to admit that he's a Theocrat?
He may oppose Sharia Law, but he seems to just love the idea of imposing Levitican Law through government doesn't he?
Still don't think he's a Catholic Theocratic Bigot and Bully? Check out this speech froth-boy recently made where he attacked Protestants as being in a "Shambles... that is gone from the world of Christianity".
We all know that this country was founded on a Judeo-Christian ethic but the Judeo-Christian ethic was a Protestant Judeo-Christian ethic, sure the Catholics had some influence, but this was a Protestant country and the Protestant ethic, mainstream, mainline Protestantism, and of course we look at the shape of mainline Protestantism in this country and it is in shambles, it is gone from the world of Christianity as I see it. [...]
Whether its sensuality of vanity of the famous in America, they are peacocks on display and they have taken their poor behavior and made it fashionable. The corruption of culture, the corruption of manners, the corruption of decency is now on display whether it’s the NBA or whether it’s a rock concert or whether it’s on a movie set.
So Protestants aren't Christians any more? What are they - excommunicated? And we have
them to blame for the "NBA's corruptive influence"? Was that a sideways swipe at Black people and Gang Culture or something? Try talking that trash to Jeremy Lin or current NBA Champion MVP Dirk Nowitzki. Has this dude actually
watched NASCAR and "Blue Collar TV"? Is that supposed to be the epitome of "culture"?
And those awful Rock Concerts. Y'now - like with that Anarchist Springsteen guy. With your Adele's and Pink's and Nicky Minage's prancing about. Disgusting.
And Hollywood with their Peacocks Displaying. I mean, you'd think they were trying to capture people's attention or something. The nerve of those people with all their acting and .. uh, Acting.
What Crack-Juice is this dude slurping? I mean, really.
I can understand trying to play to the cowardice, fear and loathing of Bible belt bigotry. That's been the GOP southern strategy for decades. During a primary it's expected.
But this is just pathological. He just can't stop himself from leaping off radical rhetoric mountain face first without a chute or a bungie cord over and over again.
Man, I really do hope he becomes the GOP nominee, because President Obama is going to beat him like a red-headed rented mule.
