There will be a full diary after he sees the vet this evening (7:30 pm CST), but until then, here's a pic of Itzl at work:
I know he's holding his leg up really high here, but he's actually been putting it down on the ground, and he's even starting to sometimes bear a little weight on it. When he stretches now, he stretches out his left leg, too.
And he's been so good about not licking or biting at his incision that he hasn't needed either a cone of shame or an inflatable type collar. If he had needed one, I'd have gotten him the inflatable one, only I'd have replaced the air with packing peanuts - lightweight and it can't be accidentally deflated. I prefer the inflatable style because it allows the dog to see all around and get to food and water without allowing them to get to their injury.
