The 20 percent cap is having some impact. Our health care policy has increased by double digits every year, with one recent year being almost 30 percent!
That was the year before the Affordable Care Act passed.
Now it's time for renewal, and the policy options ALL have a cost decrease. ALL OPTIONS, even the ones with the same coverage level! One of those options is down 20 percent.
SWEET! (And the shouting is intentional, because this feels good people!)
This law isn't ideal, but it was the step forward many people said it was. I am just grinning at recent news of CEO's predicting the death of the private insurance business model.
It was a painful thing, brutal, likely helping us to lose the House, but it is working as intended. In our business, health care costs us about what one full time additional person would, and that's a lot of money for a small pool of great, hard working to the point of almost being overworked employees.
Give credit where credit is due everyone. We did some damage on this problem, and it took everything we had to do it too. Worth it so far.
Coin Operated Democrats blunted this bill, and that's every reason to elect progressives and continue the push to reform the party, take back the house, and continue progress!
Feeling really good today. How about you?
