This is not an actual diary, just a few questions bothering me today and a request to Kossacks to help me understand something.
I listened to Benjamin Netanyahu's speech to AIPAC, but I missed at least one important part until I saw it in print this morning at The Telegraph:
Linking the US's fate with that of his own country, he said:"For the sake of our prosperity, for the sake of our security, for the sake of our children, Iran must not be allowed to get nuclear weapons."
Really, Mr. Netanyahu? Prosperity first? Children last?'
Are you really calling for Americans to go to war against Iran to protect Israel's "prosperity"?
I didn't know that concern for Israel's "prosperity" was any part of the discussion, much less worthy of first place, ahead of "security" and "children." How does Iran having nuclear weapons capability affect Israel's prosperity? And, how many Iranian children does Mr. Netanyahu want Americans to agree to kill or risk killing to protect Israel's "propserity"? Is it enough if we just drive them from their homes and into refugee camps in other countries like we did to innocent Iraqi women and children?
Should Americans go to war to protect "prosperity"?
Can someone here explain this to me, please?
