No, this international company hasn't de-linked from ALEC, but when they make a decision not to fight a State's regulation and change, it makes me wonder?
First the facts: CA has a regulation that requires Coke and Pepsi to make a choice: Either change the chemicals used in their caramel coloring OR your soda container must change to indicate that it contains a known carcinogen.
When I read this, it made me wonder why? Big Corporations routinely take on a State with any new regulation, regardless of merit - as they really don't want to be forced to do anything against their own will. So why buckle?
Are they trying to stay out of the media spotlight, because blogger's will immediately point to their connection to ALEC? http://www.guardian.co.uk/...
