ESPN continues to love doing bracketology with the current president. The sent top analyst, Andy Katz, to go through the bracket with him.
Just a few observations added to this video:
1. Can you imagine Mitt Romney doing this?
2. President Obama is always prepared. He knows the teams and he understands the game. Of course, none of that guarantees any particular pick will be right, but it gives each decision its best chance to be right. I'll let everybody make their own analogies to policy decisions.
3. He is cautious - not many upsets on BO's bracket.
4. The President refuses to pander. He knows people don't really want him to pretend to be a fan of their team.
5. Katz appropriately even needles him a little for not picking his own alma mater, Harvard, to win their first round game against Vandy.
6. He acknowledges when he has done well and not so well in past years.
7. Again, can you imagine Mitt Romney doing this? Cheesy grits win the national championship.
