I am against the many unethical practices of the adoption industry, especially in regards to infant adoption (and this will be further discussed in another diary). I just wanted to post a quote that I read in a comment on YouTube while watching a video of natural mothers in South Korea protesting international adoption of their infants. One sign read "Korean babies are not for export."
After the video (which can be found here), I skimmed some of the comments. struck me. I've been trying for so long to properly express myself in my views on the unethical practices of infant adoption, and how it wasn't Pro-Woman at all. I couldn't find a way to say it, but this commenter did.
A quote from the comment:
"...it is the EXISTENCE of the adoption agencies which allows the government to neglect social services to women who want to keep their children."
Way to go, YouTube commenter. I agree.
