That's all we need.
Surely just one person reading this can donate $60 to a good cause.
Or two people with $30 apiece.
Or three with $20.

This coming Sunday, Ms. Unoball and I will be participating in our annual birdathon for Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society.
We've been raising money from friends, co-workers, Kossacks, and more.
We're a mere $60 short of our goal to raise $1,000 for this very good cause.
Don't let us fall short!
I guest-hosted a Dawn Chorus bird diary last month. Take a look at this diary; it'll give you more background on why I am such a strong supporter of SCVAS.
Essentially, money raised will go to the group's education efforts, including providing bird and nature education in classrooms, taking schoolkids to nearby wetlands to teach them the importance of this habitat not only for birds, but for people; the annual Wildlife Education Day at group headquarters, and more.
Of course, funds raised also go to vital conservation efforts, including protection of locally threatened burrowing owls, building and installing bird boxes for cavity nesters such as western bluebirds and chestnut-backed chickadees, and more.

Making a tax-deductible donation is easy and quick! Do this:
1) Go to the SCVAS main birdathon page.
2) Select the Sponsor a team link.
3) Use the pulldown to select my wife's name: Carolyn Straub.
4) With her name chosen, select the "Donate" button.
5) Break out the plastic and go to town!
You can use a credit card or PayPal account to donate.
Every amount helps, so please do what you can afford.
We only need $60 to meet our goal!
And, if you can't afford to donate right now, please donate a rec to the diary to help keep it alive so more people will see this.
If you have any other questions, ask below or send me a Kosmail and I'll get back to you.
Thank you!
