You really have to hand it to Orly Taitz for being persistent. Late on Friday, she filed a civil RICO suit against President Obama in Mississippi state court. Also included as defendants are the Obama campaign, Nancy Pelosi (in her capacity as chairwoman of the 2008 Dem convention) and the Mississippi Democratic Party.
Taitz alleges that after Joe Arpaio pronounced Obama's birth certificate a forgery, she alerted the Mississippi Democratic Party to this and other evidence that supposedly proved Obama was ineligible--including her claim that Obama was using a fake Social Security number. Per her usual practice, it's unredacted--which is why I'm not linking to the suit. The party didn't even respond, so the Mad Moldovan threw them in as a defendant. Taitz claims that the Obama campaign is a "racketeering enterprise" because he was never eligible to be president, and has committed numerous acts of fraud.
Some of Taitz' claims are downright laughable. For instance, she claims that AttackWatch and Fight The Smears, which were created to keep tabs on smears against the president, are part of Obama's alleged fraud. Gee, I didn't know that exercising your right to defend yourself could be considered fraud. She also claims that by calling out Taitz, Obama and his campaign are guilty of witness intimidation.
The velocity with which this suit is tossed out ought to create quite a breeze. Hopefully it'll be followed with sanctions as well.
