Willard Romney is on record as saying that he believes that anyone receiving public assistance from the government should have to work in order to receive that government assistance. In other words, if you work at some kind of job, it’s ok for the government to give you food stamps, childcare, daycare, healthcare, public housing, whatever.
You work at some kind of job, and the government will provide you with those basic services. But think about that for a moment. That’s the whole idea behind good ol’, classic, 1930’s - style “socialism”! Willard Romney, that severest of all conservatives, finally admits that socialism isn’t such a bad thing after all. In return for work, the government will give you social services.
And in presuming to teach you the value of the work ethic, he would have the government assume the role of a parent rather than that of a freely elected, democratic governing body of peers. Talk about ‘invasive government!’
And in saying all that, poor Willard assumes the shape of a pretzel, with his head up his tail end, forming a truly ‘unmitigated disaster’. How can anyone take this idiot seriously?
