Do you remember the porn that was found when we took out Bin Laden?
Lots of jokes were made and some thought that pubicizing this discovery would embarrass the terrorists. Others, like myself, thought the release was bad form. Any evidence from the site should have been sealed until thorough investigation had been done. That's just good procedure. However, there was another issue that I only knew about because of the work I do. Read more below.
Today, I read an article about a memory chip we discovered on a terrorist. It had porn on it and after some analysis, the documents were discovered.
A year ago I noted that the porn found was most likely communications and that information should have been kept from the public. They shouldn't have let it be known that they found and confiscated the porn. Maybe the terrorists were aware we already knew they were hiding communications in porn. I don't think so though. They are still using porn to communicate secret messages in plain sight. Here is the latest:

The reason I know about our efforts to decode messages in porn is because I know somebody who worked on the process to decode them. I was never under a non-disclosure agreement and now that it is public knowledge, I can expound on it.
Back in 2003 or 2004, the years seem to run together, I worked with quantum physicists. The work I was doing was not that technical but these very smart old guys I worked with were creating technology based on theoretical mathematics. They worked on more than one project. This project was from the DOD and they weren't supposed to talk about it. They couldn't keep it to themselves. They were looking at porn all day.
I don't know much more than that. I do think that the porn found with Bin Laden was loaded with secret communications.
