Shouldn't the Osama kill focus be on Obama being able to get intelligence Bush couldn't and Romney wouldn't get from Pakistan?
I think this is a much more powerful argument than President Obama authorizing the move.
It seems like when Obama came into office for a while he greatly increased coordination with Pakistan and really pushed them to help out more than Bush ever succeeded in doing, and more than any Republicans would succeed in doing as they are wont to treat Pakistan very coldly.
President Obama reached out to Pakistan and enabled the kind of intelligence gathering from behind "frenemy" Pakistan intelligence corps lines that enabled the info that led to the kill.
Bush did not discover Osama was in Abbottabad, and from his comments on Pakistan, I doubt Romney would of come close either. I really don't see Republicans candidates at all endorsing an attitude towards Pakistan that would of succeeded in causing a break in ranks within Pakistan intelligence corps that would of gotten us close to figuring out Osama's location and being able to conceal our agents in Abbottabad.
It would seem to me that it is solely due to Obama's foreign policy abilities that led to us to be able to get certain enough info about Osama to be able to call the raid in the first place.
The ability to get high level information from behind enemy (frenemy?) lines is rare and powerful. That is the argument that the campaign should be making.
