It's not the first time this has happened in Phoenix. The only reason it's "breaking news" for me is that I live in this neighborhood. It's near three airports, an Air National Guard base, and a major freeway. My phone is ringing off the hook; friends, and family getting the news.
A neighbor tells me that the home is owned by a Las Vegas investor, that's the good news. The house was probably vacant. The story may be updated by the time I post. It appears to be a privately owned helicopter, red tail, possibly used for training new pilots.

I'm proud to say that Phoenix Police, and Fire Departments responded in a flash. There are still helicopters, flying low over my area, shaking the building and doors.
My thoughts are with the survivors and their families as we await further updates.
