And, what's part of the agenda for my class tomorrow? Well... :D
Let's dive into some history. On May 8, 1884, Harry Truman, American 33rd president of the United States, was born. If you get the chance to go to his library, it's pretty cool, so go! On this date in 1958, Vice President Richard Nixon was shoved, stoned, booed and spat upon by anti-American protesters in Lima, Peru. One would think our country would've paid attention to that before we elected him POTUS - TWICE!
Now, it's time for SPARK in our lives. :D How 'bout that Dustin Hoffman? I think more men folk would check out political debates on the television machine if this lady was the moderator. ;D Here's an "AAAaaaWWWwww!" moment from the Animal Kingdom. Finally, some of these versions of nature's most perfect food don't sound so bad, but some of them sound *&^%$#@!
On with The Rachel Maddow Show!
"Decision 2012" - MENSA Senate members tarrantinoed preventing student loans from doubling. And, Rachel is incorrect. Students with loans now will not see their rates go up; it's only loans after July 1 that will skyrocket. Man on Dog endorsed Mittens via email in the wee wee hours of the night. Mittens was against the auto industry bailout before he was for it. There's a Dem non - President Obama candidate in WV. Yea, and Senator Lugar got tea bagged to the tune of 20 points. And, it won't surprise me in the least to see that seat be tea bagged. Senator Lugar's not only seen by MENSA members as being "too moderate," but that whole kerfuffle about his IN residency probably hurt more than anything around here. Barack Obama will not win my state this year. The DSCC shouldn't take for granted that Senate seat will go Dem AT ALL; there are plenty of my fellow "Hoosiers" that are all over the tea bagging. NC citizens are voting whether or not to add an uber pro - opposite marriage amendment to that state's constitution. So far, the amendment is winning - a shock, I know. Dems are choosing their guy/gal to run against Governor Scotty in the recall in June in WI. Steve Kornacki is in studio to chat up today's results. Every other MENSA Senator has gotten a real clear message about being semi - reasonable. Amendment 1 in NC will pass ensuring I will never set foot in that state, either. Despite the horrid losing streak on these ballot issues, we just might see a winner in NJ. Change is in the works possibly in Maine, too.
"Herding Elephants" - Reince Priebus talked up marriage equality with Andrea Mitchell. He mucked up Mittens' position on the issue. Mittens WANTS a Constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Rachel has added him to the list of MENSA members not very good at his job; Speaker Sobber is at the top of the list. ;D A call center to bash President Obama on job creation in this country was based in the Philippines. OOPS! Rachel went on to list other ways some MENSA folks are just craptacular at their jobs. The RNC is trying to tout their efforts for the Hispanic community? {insert spit take here}
"Separation Anxiety" - This isn't news, but some folk are a little fuzzy on that whole separation of church & state stuff. And, those folk are of the MENSA persuasion. There's Governor Secession! What's God done for him lately? ;) Bat$hit right wing religious fanatics took over the hall where all the cool statues are in DC. Thank you, Speaker Sobber! Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy will try to clarify that whole church/state thing. He's beginning to confuse preachers with politicos. ;D Historians these folk ain't! So, I'm guessing no Buddhists nor atheists got an invite today; it must've just been lost in the mail. ;)
"Dissembly Line" - Mittens wanted to let Detroit go bankrupt; it was in the papers & everything. He was on the television machine saying it, too. Go figure, the bailouts worked, and the auto industry is doing quite well, thank you! Again, Mittens was against the bailout before he was for it. He's coming to my fair state?! Aw hell... *&^%$#@!
