Blind dissident Chen Guangcheng and his immediate family have left China on a flight to the United States. They are expected to arrive in Newark, N.J., Saturday evening.
This may prove awkward for Mitt Romney who had previously released a statement that the administration's handling of the crisis was "a day of shame for the Obama administration."
(Updated with the actual Romney quote)
So will Romney apologize for criticizing the administration while fragile negotiations were in progress and Hilary Clinton was on foreign soil. Or will he:
1) Say the whole thing was his idea and he deserves credit; 2) Say the administration deserves no credit because any President or Secretary of State would have made the same choices; 3) have no comment, then make a comment, and finally back peddle from said comment; or 4) say he can not recall his previous statement on the matter, but whatever it was he stands by it.
I apologize for omitting the options of "blame the media" and "all of the above."
