The first shadow that arose was when I realized how few was the number of people I work with who actually voted yesterday.
The second and even darker shadow was when I realized that of the co-workers who actually did vote yesterday, how few of them there were that actually knew who or what they were voting for.
If I hear one more time, "I voted for 'so-and-so' because I've heard 'so-and-so's' opponent is worse", I will scream.
I suppose if I would stop asking I'd feel better.
That proposal seems pretty dark as well.
