If everyone who dies during war is a hero, how can anyone (parents for example) complain about their son's or daughter's death?
Seriously, it must be difficult to complain to your government about the death of your son, daughter, sister, brother, mother or father if your own government proclaims them a hero.
I can see how that situation would be difficult to deal with in the extreme.
I really think Chris Hayes is more intelligent than most everyone including me. It took me quite some time to figure out what I think he was trying to say. The media certainly didn't understand and no Republicans understood. But there have been a few people who have struggled to grasp his meaning.
How can a nation fight against a war if everyone who dies in that war is a hero instead of just another corpse?
I can't imagine what Chris Hayes would have received from the media if he really said what he was aiming at.
Chris Hayes is a hero for saying the truth.
