Earlier this afternoon I was at Netroots Nation 2012. I was sitting on a love seat, in the carpeted area by the Dkos, Netroots for the Troops, and the Community Quilt Project booths.
I was sitting there in tremendous pain (I should have rented a scooter for NN12) when triciawyse asked if she could sit down on the love seat next to me. I said "yes." I was actually happy to have the company, because my movement at that point was severely curtailed by the pain and I wanted to meet and talk to dkos friends and acquaintances.
She had managed to get one box filled for Netroots for the Troops (which was one more than I was able to do) before her back too began to wail.
So there we were sitting and talking when another person came up (I wish I could remember her name triciawyse informs me in the comments below that she is TiaRachel [Thank you!]) and we all chatted for a while. Then two more people came up from behind the loveseat, Sara R and her sister, winglion.
Winglion (Ann) is on the left, Sara R on the right:
Sara R had something in her hand and the air was full of anticipation.
Then Sara R and Winglion presented Triciawyse, the queen of the pooties and woozles, a quilt of her own!
The Tia Rachel and I had no warning, and as such neither of us have pictures of the actual presentation (which we sort of kindly complained about to Sara and Ann).
a close up of some of the pooties and woozles on the quilt:
It was very moving, triciawyse was on the verge of tears. It was something wonderful, no matter how accidental the part was, to be part of.
Thank you Sara and winglion (Ann).
Thank you to asterkitty for letting me know, in the comments below, that Ann's dkos name is winglion!
