I know Obama isn't considered a Progressive by many of us on the left, but who were the Progressive Presidents, in your eyes? I think of Roosevelt, Wilson, Roosevelt again and Lyndon Johnson. I don't think we have ever had a Progressive President in my lifetime.
Also, what progressives are in office right now or are currently running? I am trying to see if there are enough of them to make any changes to the government, and I don't study people outside of my districts and the Presidency (there are rare exceptions, but most of the time). I feel fairly certain that there are no Progressive candidates on my ballot (local or otherwise).
Tue Jun 19, 2012 at 9:12 AM PT: This has become interesting. It seems the term is very much subjective. Some people say they saw a progressive and others disagree. It almost feels like asking about progressives is asking about unicorns. Some say they have seen them, but others say that it was a dressed up horse. I believe very much in progressivism, but is it simply a subjective term that often can't be decided during the time the person is acting "progressive?"
