A lot of grateful animals and people will have a lot to miss. My mother-in-law finally died.
Hai. She loved me. She made home a home.

A baby kitten my husband and I found living wild also found his forever home with Mom. Caliper lived a long, good life because of her kindness and patience. He left ahead of Mom, and will look out for her as she joins him on their journey.
Kayla also found her forever home with Mom. She was kept in a puppy mill. When we first met her, she was crawling around the edges of the room growling at everyone. Now, she runs up to people with the other dogs and tolerates being petted, though she still cowers when hands come down.
I lost my teeth. She helped me eat.

I have a home with her too. She stopped my itches with honey. She called them allergies.

I protect. Strangers come, and I will not let them hurt my family. She is family.

We love you, Mom. Wish you were still here to love us back.
