Dear Friends of Okiciyap, Thank you so much for pitching in to help. We went from 0 to 10% in 3 days, I'd say that's great start! I admire Cindy's strength and courage to practically start from scratch and jump right in to take the reigns 2 months from Georgia's passing...
I know she's doing her best. I learned today she got a grant invite so let's wish her the best on getting that one with many more to come.
I got to thinking about other ways to help the Okiciyap ~ Isabel community that didn't involve money, just your time. I know there are plenty of grants out there, it's just finding them. Any leads? What about tips on writing the grant application? That would be a good gift. Are any of you into freebies? I just bought the Consumer Reports Shop Smart magazine to learn how to get free stuff sent to Okiciyap. One of the options, apparently is having one freebie sent to yourself and another to a friend but that some sites allow for self gifting meaning 2 to one address. I'm going to learn how to do this for them, I welcome tips if you already know. Any other ideas?
Oh, I bet the youth center would still welcome games, puzzles, arts and crafts for summertime fun. I have 2 boxes ready to go of treasures found at yard sales. Mail to the PO Box.
Thanks,
SD
