6:10 PM PT (James L): nycyoungin flags a remarkable John Sullivan quote:
"I never had a race like this in all my life," Sullivan told The Associated Press from Washington, as he prepared to jump on a flight back to Oklahoma for a last-minute campaign push ahead of Tuesday's primary to decide who will be the Republican nominee representing Oklahoma's 1st congressional district. "The only mistake I made was I ignored it for too long."
With just 10 precincts (3%) reporting, Sullivan only leads his primary challenger, Jim Bridenstone, by 16 votes! This race is definitely worth keeping your eyes on.
6:15 PM PT: We're at roughly a quarter reporting in OK-02. On the GOP side, Markwayne Mullin still has a decent lead at 38%, while George Faught has moved into a clearer 2nd place with 22%. Dustin Rowe is well back of the pace at 14%. On the Dem side, Rob Wallace is just shy of the no-runoff mark, at 48%.
6:24 PM PT: WHOA. That was fast. It sure looks like Doug Lamborn won't be coming back to Congress: With 83% of the vote already counted, he's getting blasted by Robert Blaha, 61-39, in the CO-05 (R) primary.
6:27 PM PT: Jesus Christ, AP. Apparently, the Associated Press's numbers are reversed and it's Lamborn who's up, not Blaha. Check out the El Paso County Clerk's page.
6:31 PM PT: Yeah, the AP fixed its numbers. Sheesh.
6:32 PM PT: First votes are appearing in NY-06.
6:34 PM PT: As well as several other NY House districts, including the 9th, 13th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 23, and 27th.
6:37 PM PT: The AP has called CO-05 (R) for Rep. Doug Lamborn.
6:39 PM PT: Note that in OK-02, Rob Wallace has more votes than the entire 6-man GOP field combined. The definition of "Demosaur" area.
6:42 PM PT: It's just 2% reporting, but Adriano Espaillat is out to a big 68-24 lead over Charlie Rangel in NY-13 (D).
6:45 PM PT: They count quick upstate: 53% reporting in NY-27 (R) and Chris Collins is up 69-31 over David Bellavia.
6:46 PM PT: 11% reporting in NY-23 (D) and Nate Shinagawa is up and Nate Shinagawa is up 52-41 over Leslie Danks Burke.
6:47 PM PT: And note that Rep. Richard Hanna is at just 62% against his utterly Some Dude opponent in NY-23 (R).
6:49 PM PT: Despite getting caught on camera making out with a woman who wasn't his fiancee, it looks like Matt Doheny will lock up the GOP nomination in NY-21 easily. He's leading Some Dude Kellie Greene 73-27 with 31% reporting.
6:50 PM PT: The vote count is proceeding very slowly in OK-01 (R), but with 12% reporting, Jim Bridenstine has now taken a 6-point lead over Rep. John Sullivan. This would be an amazing upset.
6:51 PM PT: As expected, Julian Schreibman is cruising in his NY-19 (D) primary, 74-26.
6:52 PM PT: In NY-18 (D), one of the more hotly contested primaries in New York tonight, Sean Maloney is leading Rich Becker 49-26 with 7% reporting.
6:54 PM PT: It seems that Joe Carvin, the GOP's preferred (well, that's a mild way of putting it) candidate in NY-17 is handily holding off his rival, white supremacist Jim Russell. It's 66-34 with a quarter of the vote in.
6:57 PM PT (James L): In NY-06 (D), Grace Meng now has pulled into a 13-vote lead over Liz Crowley with just 7% reporting.
6:59 PM PT: Rep. Nydia Velazquez has a hunormous early lead in NY-07 (D), but just 4% of the vote has reported so far.
7:00 PM PT: And it's just 1% reporting in NY-08, but Hakeem Jeffries is way out ahead there, too. Let's just hope that holds.
7:01 PM PT: We're up to 6% now in NY-13 (D) and Espaillat leads Rangel 51-36.
7:04 PM PT: We've shot up to one third reporting in NY-18 (D), and Sean Maloney looks to have this one well in hand. He's up 47-27 over Rich Becker.
7:06 PM PT: Almost forgot about the GOP Senate primary. Rep. Bob Turner is getting rocked: With a third of the vote counted, conservative activist Wendy Long is crushing by a 58-32 margin. George Maragos is all the way back with 9%.
7:09 PM PT: The AP has called NY-27 (R) for Chris Collins. He'll face Dem Rep. Kathy Hochul in November.
7:11 PM PT: It's raining Meng! In NY-06 (D), the count jumped up to 8% reporting, and Meng's vote total has soared to 71%.
7:14 PM PT: We're up to 10% reporting in NY-08 (D), and I think we can breathe a bit easier. Hakeem Jeffries is up 74-26 over Charles "Not in Charge" Barron.
7:16 PM PT: The liveblog continues here.
