This is good news for now:
The judge has BLOCKED that law from taking effect. This grants a temporary victory for the pro choice voices. Jump below the Itzl for details:
Judge Daniel P. Jordan has set a July 11 hearing to determine whether to block the law for longer.
“Though the debate over abortion continues, there exists legal precedent the court must follow,” Judge Jordan wrote.
From what the Maddow Blog tells us, the clinic is likely to prove that the law is unconstitutional. From the statement from Judge Jordan:
In this case, Plaintiffs have offered evidence—including quotes from significant legislative and executive officers—that the Act’s purpose is to eliminate abortions in Mississippi. They likewise submitted evidence that no safety or health concerns motivated its passage. This evidence has not yet been rebutted.
And that's a key.

The Center for Reproductive Rights is taking the lead on the legal side. Let them have all the help they need in this fight. We've won a battle, but it's not over yet.
