So someone in the neighborhood is throwing stuff at the back of our house late at night, first rocks on Thursday, and now beer bottles and pieces of wood with nails in them. They threw one bottle through my roomies' car's back window. Glass everywhere. The cops came out, took two intact bottles to run prints - though warned us it may be quite a while - and filed a report. I'm looking into motion lights and wireless webcams, but our money situation is all screwed up, so no idea if I'll find anything we can afford.
It started on Thursday night, at around 9pm. We heard banging noises coming from the back corner of the house, the garage area where I am most of the time. We found big chunks of cement and rock littering the area and back patio. About an hour or so later, there was more.
We thought it odd, but didn't know what to make of it.
Sunday night, whoever it is came back.
This time they threw around a half-dozen beer bottles at the back of the house and my roommate's car, one of which broke the back window of the car. They also tossed pieces of wood with nails driven through them nails-up into the yard where the dog could easily step on them. We called the police, but other than file a report, there's little they can do. Poor area, little manpower or resources. They took two bottles that were completely intact and bagged them for fingerprinting, but they warned us that the lab may never get around to it due to resources and time.
I'm trying to find some security light options, and looking into a wireless webcam to monitor things, but we're dirt poor and our money situation is screwed up worse than usual right now, so I'm not sure what I'll find that I can afford. I have to buy a new motherboard for my computer just to be able to start drawing and writing again, and can barely afford that.
Fun times in Gimpland. Not enjoying the feeling of knowing one of our neighbors is attacking our property.
6:55 AM PT: No, no real idea as to who or why beyond the fact that we're the poor, disabled household and make easy targets, I guess.
I'm looking into lights and cameras.
