If there's one buzz word I've had my fill of, it's "job creators." "Job creators" won't hire because of "uncertainty." "Job creators" are keeping $2 trillion under the mattress. "Job creators" want lower taxes and less regulation to hire.
I call myself a "music producer" and an "electronics installer" and a "cook."
I get to call myself these things because I do these things.
The corporate titans of our country, the guys who make five million f'ing dollars an hour to play CEO for a Day (bet you half of it was spent "LOL"-ing on his Facebook page) are not creating jobs. They are sitting around, stuffing shareholders' money down their pants and laughing all the way to the Caymans.
Fine. Nothing in the law says you can't (sad to say). But you can't call yourselves "job creators" if that's not what you do. You're simply "smug self-enrichers."
And, until you actually start hiring, that is what we're going to call you.
