At a $75,000-per-couple fundraiser for Mitt Romney's presidential campaign, a unnamed Romney donor who attended that fundraiser said this about low-income people:
"I just don't think the common person is getting it...I just think if you're lower income -- One, you're not as educated, two, they don't understand how it works."

Mitt Romney is associating himself with people like this donor, who bashed low-income people like me. I'm a college dropout, I still live with my parents, both of which live off of the government dole, and I understand the problems our country is facing. We have a massive federal budget deficit, an ever-increasing national debt, high unemployment, high underemployment, a weak economic recovery, an unstable banking system, infrastructure that needs to be modernized...and that's just a few of the problems our country is facing. We poor people do understand what problems face our country. We get it!
The policies that Mitt Romney is proposing would only make those problems worse, not better. Bernie Sanders, a Democratic-caucusing Independent U.S. Senator from Vermont, referred to Romney as "Bush reincarnated" not too long ago. We don't need another George W. Bush-type Republican in the White House.
It is absolutely disgusting that Mitt Romney's campaign donors have such negative views about poor and working-class people.
