Romney's campaign said today that Obama is willing to say anything to win a second term and should say he's sorry for attacks on the Republican's successful career at a private equity firm.
Today the President responded and forcefully:
"No, we will not apologize," ....... if Romney wants credit for his business leadership, he also needs to take responsibility.
Obama told WAVY-TV in Portsmouth, Va.:
"Mr. Romney claims he's Mr. Fix-It for the economy because of his business experience, so I think voters entirely legitimately want to know what is exactly his business experience,"
"Mr. Romney is now claiming he wasn't there at the time except his filings with the SEC listing says he was the CEO, chairman and president of the company."
''No, we will not apologize," .

So now what is Mittens to do? He has gone all the networks and cried foul and that didn't work. Even the GOP is telling him to come clean and disclose his taxes.
Just to show how some of the repub base is feeling:
“Romney’s just not a fighter,” says Jenny Beth Martin, head of the Tea Party Patriots, the largest of the activist groups. “That’s why it would be good for him to have someone like Palin speaking at the convention. He needs to do something to rile up his base, to make them enthusiastic. And I don’t mean just the Tea Party. I mean die-hard Republicans. I live in the second-most-Republican county in the state of Georgia, and the folks around here are not enthusiastic about him.”

And a little humour from the Sunday shows:
Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.)
"Why is Mitt Romney running away from his company, Bain Capital, like a scalded cat?"
Rahm Emanuel:
"As Mitt Romney said once to his own Republican colleagues, stop whining," Emanuel said on ABC's "This Week." "I give him his own advice. Stop whining. If you want to claim Bain Capital as your calling card for the White House, then defend what happened at Bain Capital."
Bill Kristol:
Mitt Romney 'Should Release The Tax Returns Tomorrow'
George Will:
"Mitt Romney's losing at this point in a big way," ...... Romney should have taken care of those issues years ago, as soon as he knew he would be running for president in 2012.
