While most of the press attention has been on gaffe-a-minute Mitt and his multiple blunders in the UK, thankfully we will be represented by our First Lady Michelle Obama, who arrived in London yesterday and has a full schedule of events planned for her stay.
On Saturday, July 28th, First Lady Michelle Obama is calling on you to support the 2012 Olympic Games and Team USA, not just by cheering on our athletes, but by getting active in your community by joining in an "Olympics-inspired" Meetup.
The Telegraph, which has been excoriating Romney, had this headline:
Michelle Obama visits London for the Olympic Games, and the Washington Post had this news in the sports section:
First Lady Michelle Obama arrives in London, will lead US delegation at Olympic Games
LONDON — Michelle Obama has arrived at the London Games to lead the U.S. delegation, starting her Friday schedule by having breakfast with American Olympians.
The first lady has a busy itinerary, including an event later Friday to promote healthy living with more than 1,000 children expected, then a reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace, followed by the opening ceremony at Olympic Stadium.
