Is it just me or does the Romney persona remind you a bit of Chance from Being There, only in reverse? Or is it an alternative Romniverse? No, I got it, he has perpetual Romnesia! More below the puffy orange cloud.
Chance was Peter Sellers' greatest role, IMO. If you haven't seen the movie yet, leave immediately and come back when you have, because it is genius. Shirley MacLaine is likewise brilliant, but she didn't go quite so far out on the limb (ancient literary reference, or so the spirits tell me).
Chance is a total innocent. Even by writing this I fear some genius in Hollywood is thinking, 'Wouldn't Jim Carey make a great Chance in a remake?" No. Jim's a great actor, but is there no sacred ground?
Anyway, if you think Mittens is in any way "running" his campaign, you really need to re-evaluate your information sources. Like Chance, who only wants to care for the plants in the garden, Mitt is likewise deprived of a social conscience. Unlike Chance, whose default is toward love and nurturing, Mitt does not want to grow anything, he only wants to harvest what has been grown by others.
