As a daily Kosphere reader for around 5 years, the ups and downs of political insanity have been endured like mosquitoes in the Summer. A Memphian, a native Southerner, the grandson of a man that climbed the courthouse steps with a walker to vote for Democrats, the son of a brilliant man that hung on Republicans' pro-defense posturing to the nth degree, and a genetically sarcastic thinker has lurked in the diary shadows for long enough. Understand the Southern evangelical I do. Understand the anti-government mentality of the middle aged to elderly American I do mostly. Agree with either of them I do not.
My first contribution to the collective comes as part original, part restated, and complete fluff. The Headroomless Munster ticket after the artwork..
Many have likened Paul Ryan to the Eddie Munster of politics. Indeed, the resemblance is striking. Mister Ryan does come from an equally weird frame of mind as did dear Eddie. His Grandpa may be Grover. His Uncle Fester may be Karl. I'll leave it to the collective to nail down the rest of the Addams characters, all equally as creepy and comical.
Mitt Romney is Max Headroom in the flesh. The cartoon has become physical. Max was the face of the oligarchy ran by executives where people could no longer turn off their televisions. The world had become a dystopia of extremes.
Mitt is intelligent, but I believe his mindset of never having being questioned in life as a Mormon male/bishop/stake president and CEO leads to his head having room for nothing else. Hence, Headroomless is more appropriate.
For those of you that still question my wisdom, here's the physical likeness of a 65-year old Max Headroom.
