Hi all, to those new and those who read my diary . Thanks to the incredible generous support from people in the Kos community I had enough to get the compromise operation done. There is more to her story though!
Your help gave me the confidence to ask the vet to see the director and ask if anything could be done to get me the operation with a 100% *give or take one) success rate. He said no problem so long as I pay off at 200 a month. That is a big bite out of my disability but its manageable for a few months if I keep cutting back.
The specialty dermatologist who was going to do the traction and pull was terrific. He went to the surgeons for me, he got the estimates (they always do a high and low) and talked to the director then called me and said I had an appt. booked to meet the surgeon at 1:30 pm. I ran out of here on wings lol
Misty was less pleased :) She is staying in hospital tonight and will be given an early supper then nothing of course and has special blankies in her cage. Tomorrow morning they operate, drilling a hole into her bulla and get that nasty mass out of there as well as any residue so it doesn't come back. Another night post op then home on thursday.
So not only did your help mean she was getting the minimum operation but it ensured that I could get her the successful one instead and after 6 months of infection after infection she will be healthy again.
You all mean the world to me, i was humbled by your generosity in terms of money, hugs, tips and recs. One amazing lady sent me something the day she had to send her pootie to the bridge. Oh there are so many other stories, and you all will get a personal thank you via email once this is over with and I have calmed down but did want to update you.
