...than I was four years ago. And because of that, the President's reelection is more important to me than ever.
My wonderful husband passed away in 2010, and with his passing not only did our daughters lose their Dad and I my life partner, but his business had to close as I was not qualified to run it. The business had always paid for our healthcare, and now that is gone too.
My three daughters are in school, two in college and the youngest a senior in high school. They are all hard working, good students, but most importantly, they are good people and I want the best quality of life possible for them. I'm so proud!
Part of that means their being able to make their own decisions about their bodies. It means being able to continue their educations through Pell Grants and other available student loans. It means receiving equal pay for whatever job they find themselves having. And that's just the top of my list, but there is so much more.
So yes, I am worse off now than I was four years ago, (obviously not in any way the President's fault). But if the Romney-Ryan ticket is elected? Holy mother-of-pearl, my girls and I will be in the worst shape ever.
My girls
p.s. one of my girls attends Appalachian State in western North Carolina, where she is a volunteer for the Obama campaign. She gets harassed daily but keeps on fighting the good fight! More pride!
