I and many others have been a bit concerned that Mitt's tax returns issue has slid off the table a bit. Not that things haven't been looking increasingly better for Obama -- but I just don't think voters should be allowed to forget that rich jerks like Mitt get away with paying little or no taxes.
Now is the perfect time to pivot back to the subject of Mitt's Secret Tax Returns!
"These are people who pay no income tax.”
That's what we've been saying all along, Mr. Romney. In fact, that's what Harry Reid says people who should know are saying about you! So shouldn't we be very careful to make sure that whomever we vote for has been paying federal income taxes? Is there -- um -- some way you could reassure us that you are not part of that 47% that you say hasn't been paying your fair share?
After all, it would be a sad thing if we elected a President who -- uh -- was dependent on the government and felt he was a victim!
"(I)f we win on November 6th, there will be a great deal of optimism about the future of this country. We'll see capital come back..."
That's great! Capital will flow back into the US -- from the Caymans and Bermuda and Switzerland, because US taxes on the wealthy will be so low that there won't be any need for the 1% to hide their money in overseas accounts. Could we -- uh -- see how much money there is in those accounts that might flow back into our economy?
"And (those who don't pay income taxes) will vote for this president no matter what…"
Really, Governor Romney?? You intend to vote for President Obama, no matter what?
