This diary is part of a continuing series documenting the experiences of someone diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. If you want to start from the beginning, click here.
I just saw this video, and those folks who are responding to what the Republican Sociopath said are right to feel sick, but you see, I don't just feel sick. I'm so disgusted I don't know whether to laugh or vomit. Perhaps at some point I'll do a little of both, but for now, I have something to say.

Those of you here who know my history know that my life has been a long and arduous journey. It took me a lot of work to get here, and I'll be god damned to have someone like Willard The Sociopath Romney throw me and others like me under the bus as he did with virtually the entire country.

Rant Begins

Tell me, Mitt, do you know what it's like to live with a several disabilities caused by a birth injury inflicted by doctor negligence? Do you know what it's like to raise a child in such a condition? I highly doubt that considering what I've read and seen of you, but as for me...I've had to overcome more than you'll ever know.

I was 'raised' by parents who had no idea how to handle an Autism Spectrum child, much less one with disabilities, and that showed itself in many ways. Alcoholism was a strong factor in my upbringing because both my parents drank heavily to cope with their daily lives. I also lost my dad at a young age due to that lifestyle, and perhaps it was for the best. Add to that the fact that I was the middle child and you have what one would think was a recipe for disaster. I was lucky to make it through grade school and I couldn't make it in the world of minimum wage.

Well, it might have taken me a little longer than the average person, but I did get through it, with very little support for most of my life if I may add. In spite of everything, I'm still here and kicking, and I have 2 college degrees to show for my blood, sweat and tears, and to have someone like you throw half the country under the bus as you have done makes me want to vomit in disgust.

Rather than vomit, though, I'm going to prove you and your base wrong in any way I possibly can. I am not lazy, stupid or entitled as you or your supporters might claim. There is absolutely no shame in seeking a hand up, because we all share this planet and its resources. The fact that you and your supporters refuse to understand this shows that you are no more than a Sociopath.

End of Rant

Now that I'm done with that, I have some more news on what I'll be working in. It turns out I'll be stepping into the world of Geographic Information Systems, which deals with mapping out areas and learning about trends and patterns. After some research I find myself more and more interested as the days pass. The only thing holding the process up is paper work, but I'm sure my fellow kossacks know how that goes.

Anyway, just thought I'd end this on a lighter note.

See you around,

Homer

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

I write a series called 'My Life as an Aspie', documenting my experiences before and after my A.S. diagnosis as a way to help fellow Aspies and parents of Aspies and spread awareness. If I help just one person by doing this, then I've served a purpose.

    Aspiemom ((Homer177)).

He disgusts me too.  Beyond words.

I find it terribly ironic that you, a person on the autism spectrum, obviously understand so much more about the Social Contract that binds all of us together than Romney ever will.  Whether it's giving someone else a hand up, a hand out or just giving them a hand---what does it matter?  We're in this together.

Good luck in your new adventure!  I always appreciate your updates.  :^)

Yeah, it's insane. I've learned more life skills than he ever will and yet he's the one with millions of dollars. It's not that I'm envious though. I just feel there's so much more that could be done with the money these folks are sitting on.

  •  Good on you, Homer, (4+ / 0-)

for both this very thoughtful diary (I'm gonna check out your series so thanks for that), and for finding such a rewarding and interesting path in your life.  Your new work sounds very cool.

And by the way- could people please stop suggesting that Mitt Romney might be an Aspie?  As anyone who knows an Aspie can tell you, they are absolutely nothing like Mitt Romney.

    •  No arguments here. (4+ / 0-)

An Aspie might take a bit longer to learn something but once they do, it sticks. Forever. At least that's the case for me anyway. And while it may not always be reflected outwardly, we DO give a damn.

This idiot and all those "elites" around him giving him money and support are SURE that they do all the heavy lifting and everybody else are just ants. But in truth, they ain't done sh*. AND they ain't gonna DO sh*. What they are gonna  do is what they've always done.  Look for that govt teat they always fuss about the lower folks taking and latch on for all their worth. THEY get the nobid govt contracts with the low penalty clauses for non performance. THEY get the tax payer bailouts AND their obnoxious bonuses. AND THEY DON'T WANT TO PAY ANYTHING BACK! They don't consider themselves "members of the community." Heck they consider themselves "THE COMMUNITY!" Nobody else need apply. Remember that floating island they can buy for their money? They don't even have to stay here and enjoy the crap they created. They have gated communities so that if the rabble get too rambunctious they are protected.

I think they ought be exiled, but that's just me!

    •  If we were to exile them, they ought... (4+ / 0-)

to be stripped of anything that might give them power...wealth, possessions, etc. Then they can see what it's really like to fend for oneself.

I also feel that Milton Friedman's Nobel Prize should be posthumously revoked because Reagan based his policies on Uncle Milton's b.s.
