UPDATE: The most approved comment, in response to Erick's anti-Romney screed?
Maybe the campaign isn't catching fire because People don't like what Romney is selling.

The fractionating continues.
Begin "blame-game" sub-routine....................now.
On Monday, Erick, Son of Erick posted this screed on his website (allow me to pull out the tasty bits):
Contra Dick Morris, Mitt Romney is not winning this election. At least Mitt Romney is not winning the election right now.
[snip]
.....the fact is the Romney campaign isn’t functioning well. Lucky for you and me the election is not today. But something needs to happen in Boston and I am less and less hopeful anything will happen.
[snip]
It would be easy to dismiss me by saying I never cared for Romney or I’m somehow actually rooting against him. So let me put it to you this way: Jenn Rubin and I are on the same page. That’s either a sign of the apocalypse or there is something really dysfunctional happening within the Romney campaign.
[snip]
Having refused to get on the “campaign shake up” bandwagon when Rupert Murdoch and Jack Welch were claiming a shake up needed to happen, count me in now. Like it or not, spin it or not, put your head in the sand or not, attack me as the messenger or not, the very simple truth is that Mitt Romney has failed to close any deal with the voters and his message is so muddled no voter really knows what they are getting.
[snip]
Because the status quo for Team Romney is not working. That is just a fact and we might as well accept it instead of screaming at everything else trying not to make eye contact with that fact.
Now, true to form, TeamRomney (Bay Buchanan)
fires back at this naysayer:
Appearing on MSNBC, Buchanan pointed to Erickson's long-held reservations toward Romney, while also acknowledging that the former Massachusetts governor has been unable to win over some of the most ardent conservatives — a problem that dates back to the Republican nomination contest.
"You know, you have to remember, Erick Erickson has never been with us," Buchanan told MSNBC's Chuck Todd. "There's many people, as conservatives, they didn't like us in the primaries, and we do what you can, you send the message that we think is right. This is Governor Romney's campaign and he is running it and it is his message."
Thrust and parry, thrust and parry............from Erick, Son of Erick:
I have nothing left to say to Bay and Crazay, other than.......................
Seriously, though, Erick, Son of Erick makes some salient points. HE sees at least one thing that is going wrong with Mitt's campaign. His solution, though, is to go solidly, unabashedly.....................to the right.
Right diagnosis, wrong treatment (Erickson on the Romney 47% tape):
For once, we see Mitt Romney undercover and off the record and he sounds like a real person not pulled by the gravitational forces of the DC GOP Elite who have capitulated to $16 trillion in national debt. And suddenly, those beltway Republicans are beating up Romney for saying something off the cuff, maybe not as polished as he should have, but that is agreed with by a majority of Americans.
