Here's a burning question for religious right wing set....Is it God's will that Romney's campaign is failing? I frequently hear from the "faithful" lines like "God has a plan" or it's "God's will", so is God on Obama's side then?
I'll be honest, I'm not a believer myself, but it's fun to test this hypothesis. If God was backing team Romney, wouldn't he have prevented the empty chair moment? Would he allow Mitt to release a damaging comment on Libya? Would God allow the "secret taping" (because God sees all) of a private Romney fundraiser where Mitt openly denigrates almost half the country's population? And would then God allow these tapes to be posted on YouTube, and subsequently hit the news cycle in a big way? If you're the religious right, how do you justify what's happening?
It's amazing how some zealous types justify these recent events:
Jan Markell, founder and director of Olive Tree Ministries, says the Democratic Party is “corrupt” and morally “bankrupt.”
“I find it difficult to believe honestly that God would reward a political party that not only denies Him three times, but also just so seriously turns their back on Israel,” she offers. “So, this party is a corrupt, bankrupt party.”
With that in mind, Markell suggests an Obama victory means only one thing.
“If God rewards them with a victory, then I have to believe it’s a further judgment on us, because I can’t imagine God being on the side of this kind of darkness,” she says. “I just can’t!”
Wake up Jan. Maybe you're the one living in the dark. Here's a solution...just open your eyes...and heart. Maybe that's "God's plan" for you :)
(You too Romney!)
