From today's Wall Street Journal:
[I]n Iowa, Democrats have requested roughly 100,000 ballots, compared with 16,073 ballots requested by Republicans.
"I see the early vote numbers, and I grimace a little bit," said Craig Robinson, a former political director of the Iowa Republican Party and editor of a popular blog, The Iowa Republican. "It feels like an Obama state….The president has been more accessible to voters than Romney and Ryan."

Other nuggets include 50% unfavorable for Romney:
53% of Iowa likely voters have a favorable view of the president while 42% have an unfavorable one. Five percent are unsure.
When it comes to Romney, 50% have an unfavorable impression of the candidate while 42% have a favorable one. Eight percent are unsure.
Finally, Obama is favored on the
economy:
On the issues, Romney is no longer viewed as the “economy” candidate in Iowa. 46% of registered voters in Iowa say Obama will better handle the nation’s economy while 42% believe Romney will do the better job. 11% are unsure. Likely voters agree. 47% of likely voters see Obama as better able to improve the economy compared with 43% who view Romney in this light. 10% are unsure.
The Iowa poll is paired with similarly favorable polls in Colorado and Wisconsin that both showed a 5% edge for the President, with all showing him hitting the magic 50% mark.
Only the non-cellphone polls like Rasmussen continue to show this to be a close race.
