A bus in search of a candidate
A red, white and blue Romney for president campaign bus cruised around Pensacola on Monday, making stops meeting and greeting voters.
While the presidential candidate was not on board, an entourage of local, state and federal Republican Party leaders were passengers on the “Stronger Middle Class Bus Tour.”
When the bus stopped, out stepped "Not Romney". It was Pensacola Mayor Ashton Hayward that
"stepped off the bus in the brilliant sunshine to applause, cheers and the waving of American flags by about 30 of the gathered GOP faithful."
In reality, Mitt doesn't have to campaign here in the Florida Panhandle as this is an extreme
redneck red area. Judging from the "signs showing their fervent support for Romney and running-mate Rep. Paul Ryan," we can safely project at least 30 votes for Romney/Ryan.
After the Mayor proclaimed “It is time to take America back,” the empty bus continued on it's wayward journey toward Washington D.C., a red, white, and blue metaphor mirroring its missing candidate; empty and emitting noxious fumes.
