In a diary last May, I posted a number of photos of Minnehaha Park taken over a three month period. The frame of reference was a series taken in the summer of 2011; after a winter drought, photos from March, April and May 2012 showed the transformation brought on by heavy spring rains.
Since then, Minnesota was hit once again by drought ... and I've been attempting to document the changes ... though not as regularly as I had planned. Life and death has taken precedence this year, but getting back into a routine helps ease the pain.
Join me below the seasonal orange squiggle.

The creek has fought back from drought before, but it sure is a visual punch to the gut. I'll continue with this project, but it was really hard to be out there yesterday.
