Mitt Romney
No wonder he's losing.
The ever-charming Mitt Romney was trying to make the point that President Obama was lying when he claimed that Romney's tax plan would benefit the wealthy. To make the point, Romney said he has five sons, so he's used to hearing things that aren't true, but that people hope will be believed as true if they keep telling them. In other words, he was saying that President Obama is a liar, and that the reason he knows it is because he recognizes liars because his sons are liars:
Number two, I will not reduce the share paid by high-income individuals. I know that you and your running mate keep saying that and I know it’s a popular thing to say with a lot of people, but it’s just not the case. Look, I’ve got five boys. I’m used to people saying something that’s not always true, but just keep on repeating it and ultimately hoping I’ll believe it. But that -- that is not the case. All right? I will not reduce the taxes paid by high-income Americans.
Of course, President Obama's claims about Romney's tax plan are, in fact, true. Romney's tax plan would add trillions to the deficit. It would greatly benefit the wealthy. It would save Romney himself millions.

Romney is, in essence, calling the president a liar. But he is the one who is lying. And to make his dishonest point, he called his own sons liars.

Mitt Romney. Liar. Asshole.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
