There's been a lot of hand wringing by progressives over President Obama's performance in the debate on Wed. night, as compared to that of Mitt Romney. As an exercise in political futility, it was interesting for me to watch / read some of the online meltdowns in the progressive blogosphere.
What I'd like to do over the course of the next three debates (VP next week, and two remaining presidential debates) is invite everyone to take a short three question survey following each debate. I'll publish the results of individual debate surveys within 24 hours of posting the survey link, and then aggregate the numbers for all four debates when the last one is done.
The title of the first survey is 3 questions regarding the 10/3/12 Presidential Debate - Domestic Issues, and it asks three simple questions (duh!) with multiple choice answers. No essays required! Here are the questions:
1. Would a supporter of one candidate or the other switch sides because of the debate last night?
2. Would someone who was leaning toward Obama or Romney have become fully committed to supporting that candidate because of the debate last night?
3. Would anything said by either candidate during the debate push a truly undecided voter off the fence, in one direction or another?
Ready? Set? Go!
The survey link takes you to surveymonkey.com, which I've used for many years when creating customer satisfaction surveys.
