Okay.  Mitt won round #1.  But we were told that mitt had some great zingers. We were told that Mitt couldn't sleep because of a train going by his hotel (known as the
"MY COUSIN VINNY" ROPE A DOPE!   So if I was coaching Obama and Biden here's
some great comments I would make sure got mentioned during the debate!

I'm sure you all have more.  Let's help Obama/biden just finally bury this
disgusting charade known as Rmoney/Lyin Ryan!

BIDEN:  I've served with some great statesmen and presidents during my
40 years in government.  I've served with  (republicans/democrats) who would
reach across the aisle when the future of this nation was at stake.  We would work
together in times of crisis to make sure that we did what was best for the nation
and put aside political agendas.
On the day the Barak Obama took office...the heads of the republican party made a
serious and dangerous plan. That plan was to make us a one term team.  They made a
pact to stop/obstruct/and destroy any legislation that we brought forward...regardless
of how good it was...regardless of the fact that it was originally proposed by their
party...legislation that may have saved american jobs...homes from foreclosure...
saved the nation from a deeper and longer recession.  They saidto the american
public...our politics is more importnat.
And the man at the head of that obstruction stands right across from me on this
stage.  The man who led this political charade to stop any relief to the american
people during this economic crisis.   The politician who put his own political
agenda ahead of this nation during a huge crisis...he was leading the group
who could care less about the people and only cared about his own financial
and personal political agenda.
congressman ryan...that was you.  You personally killed legislation  that could
have saved and brought about millions of american jobs.
As I said...i've worked with some great senators and presidents throughout my
career...who had america in their hearts...congressman ryan...you have never
nor will you ever rank among those great men...you did something that will
shame you for the rest of your political career!

OBAMA: In the last debate Governor Romney spoke about his bipartisan
work as governor of Massachussettes. He said that 80% of the legislators
in massachusettes were democrat yet he was able to reach across party
lines to get things done in massachusettes. But...Governor Romney was
not the same person then in 2002 that he is today. Back then Governor Romney
supported abortion rights...supported gun control...was for the individual mandate...
was for health care for everyone..was for raising high income taxes...he wasn't
the same man he is today.  I ask you governor romney...what epiphany...what revelation came to you to change your mind over that time on every major
issue the nation faces today.  In the last debate you said you didn't want a
5 trillion dollar tax cut.that you favored my  health care plan...that you changed
your entire campaign in one single night. For 18 monthsyou campaigned on
those issues and then on that one night you changed everything you spoke
out for and against over this entire campaign.  How can you change your
positions. I'll tell you.  It's all politics.  You change your mind and your
policies every day.  You change your words every day. Go to my website
and see on video what positions you've changed in just the last 4 days.
You have no core postions...you are willing to say whatever untrue
position you have at the moment to satisfy your own political agenda.
Yougovernor romney are what has turned americans off from politics
and public service....you are a purveryor of hundreds of untruths and
you are a flip flopper.

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.

My greatest disappointment with the President is that he didn't call Romney on his utter bullshit.

"Remember, Republican economic policies quadrupled the debt before I took office and doubled it after I left. We simply can't afford to double-down on trickle-down." Bill Clinton

you've been running for president for 7 years and you still haven't decided what you stand for."

I like your ideas too, but I'd like to see a few short but powerful statements. Use 10 seconds out of the two minutes and make more impact.

It would also be good idea to print out pages from Romney's own website so that President Obama can help him remember what his plans are really about .

    1.  This one is a little like closing the barn door after the horse is gone but if faced with a similar question where President Obama has to define Mitt's position, he should say,

"Like the rest of America, I have no idea what Governor Romney's position is on this."
    2.  After Mitt says something incomprehensible or intentionally vague, Obama should look at the camera and say,
"Now I know what Clint felt like."
Implication, talking to an empty chair.
  •  I know you are but what am I? (0+ / 0-)

Let me answer that; I'm the President of the United States.

Romney may have misconstrued those 57 overrides of his gubernatorial vetoes as working across the aisle, but it's quite evident that he did not lead: he was squeezed and left office with a 37% approval rating.

Romney went to France instead of serving in our military, got rich chop-shopping US businesses and eliminating US jobs, off-shored his money in the Cayman Islands, and now tells us to "Believe in America."

  •  If you really care...... (0+ / 0-)

You would contact the campaigns directly and/or get out there yourself and win hearts and minds and votes.

You wouldn't telegraph your ideas in your headline where GOP researchers can catch them and get out ahead of you.

Also, Obama's strength is in rising above.........and not wading into tit-for-tat name-calling.

Please do everything possible to register voters, help them get to the polls..............

  •  What if one of them actually took (0+ / 0-)

your advice, and used one of your zingers in a real debate? How long do you think it would take for a google search to reveal that the zinger was an idea posted on a liberal blog, and just how damaging do you think that would be to a sitting president or vice president to have lifted a debate line off of a blog? Think about it, man!

  •  Romney changes positions more often than underwear (0+ / 0-)

Like the weather, if you don't like Romney's position today just wait.  It will change tomorrow.

Romney never met a position he didn't like.

Romney doesn't know what he believes in but he supports it, whatever it was.

Romney's plan is SO secret, even he can't remember what it is.

Romney will say anything to get elected.   Well, maybe not ANYthing... uhh, yes actually, anything.

    •  Martin Bashir on MSNBC said it best (0+ / 0-)

Mitt Romney is the Ron Jeremy of political campaigning.  Every day he's in a different position.

A thief thinks everybody else is a thief; a liar thinks everybody else is a liar; and a Republican thinks everybody else is as selfish and heartless as they are.
